What is discipleship? What does it mean to be a disciple and to follow Jesus? The School of Discipleship is a six-month cohort for anyone who wants to experience deep discipleship in community. It is meant to develop a biblical worldview, key Christian habits, and meaningful relationships.
We will explore what following Jesus truly means, what the whole gospel is, and what our identity and calling is in Christ. We will study the Bible, memorize scripture, engage in deep discussion, and pray as friends. This is not a “school” so much as a community learning and journeying together toward Christ-likeness.
What to expect:
The school runs from September 2026 to February 2027, with December off. Classes meet Monday evenings, 7 to 9pm, at the Vancouver Campus. There are two day-retreats built into the year, one in the fall and one in the winter.
Fall classes: September 21 and 28, October 5, 19, and 26, November 2, 9, 16, and 23.
Fall Day Retreat: November 27 to 28 (Tentative).
Winter classes: January 11, 18, and 25, February 1, 8, 22, and March 1 and 8.
Winter Day Retreat: March 12 to 13 (Tentative).
Cost: $250, which covers course materials and both retreats (due 1st week course begins)
Registration deadline: September 13, 2026.
Requirements: Attending a weekly Broadway Church service, completing assigned weekly homework, and committing to the Volunteer Covenant.
