Broadway Buddies

Our desire is for all children to learn about God’s unconditional love and care in an inclusive setting.

Our goal is to provide encouragement and practical support to their parents.

Broadway Buddies provides 1:1 support to individuals with disabilities within the Broadway community. This support is provided by volunteers who are called Buddies.

Buddies help children take part in their Sunday morning Kids Church programs and Kids Club on Wednesday or Thursday evenings. We want to provide consistency to the child’s routine as much as possible, having two volunteers per child alternating biweekly.

Broadway Buddies is a routine-driven program. For this reason, we give priority to families who attend Broadway Church regularly and to children who have a diagnosis or are in the process of getting one.

Safety is at the forefront of all strategies and programming. The needs of each child will be assessed through the intake forms, during observation, and will continue throughout the rapport-building process.

Everyone is given the opportunity to worship, play, learn about Jesus and grow together with their peers in an inclusive setting.

This is a volunteer-based program and we are always in need of help to make this happen.

If you are able to join our Kids Team and be a Broadway Buddy, we will provide training and support along the way.
