Every December, the Lower Mainland is filled with Christmas concerts and events, but one tradition that has stood the test of time is the Singing Christmas Tree at Broadway Church.
Since 1964, thousands of volunteers have come together to share this production, and hundreds of thousands of guests have experienced its message of joy and hope.
This free annual event includes 10 performances in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Over 250 people serve as choir members, musicians, dancers, actors, and support staff to create an experience that celebrates the true meaning of Christmas. At the center of it all is a massive Christmas tree with 10 levels, filled with more than 80 singers.
Each year’s program blends powerful choral music, inspiring solos, drama, dance, and even special effects that capture the wonder of the season. It has become a treasured holiday tradition for families across our city.
